What would you like to do today?

i've read somebody's blog today & he asks that question. he'd like to have a cup of coffee to wake up his soul first.
how i'd love to have some also, but since i'm 6 months pregnant, i'll just have to wait till my baby is born.
but what i'd like to do today, instead of sitting here at my desk at our office & waste company time, is to talk to someone i haven't seen for a very long time. whoever that person maybe, i'd like to fill in the gaps since we've been apart. to share the uncertainty of the future, to look back at the past & at present, to savor every moment we've spent.
to wake up tomorrow & feel refreshed ready to take up the loads of life where i left it yesterday

Holy Wednesday

Today, is Holy Wednesday.i still have work to do at the office now.
tomorrow offically starts our long weekend holiday
I was so happy with my orchid i got it from my mom's backyard.what so special with this violet flower is that it only blooms during the Lenten season.
It also has a sweet scent.i was so thankful it continued to bloom despite my lack of knowledge on how to grow orchids or any plant at all. honestly, i only have 4 plants in my backyard that i can truly call mine.hehehe i'm still collecting though.
I want to have a variegated bougainvilla.it's nice to put tea lights on it specially during Christmas season. my mom has one, but we don't know how to 'reproduce it" it has white flowers & has white streaks on its leaves.that's why it looks nice on evenings with tea lights on it.

May we all have a fruitfull Holy Week.

A burglar & my puppy

Happy New Year Everyone!
My hubby & i are still trying to settle down in our newly rented house.
it's only our second month & many changes already took place.
like last Jan. 06 , 2006.
at 2:30 am , someone uninvited climbed our roof & tried to enter into our house making me restless & nervous.
thank God, that i didn't lose my wits during those moments.
i called my neighbor for help.
he happens to be our nearest family friend.
my hubby was outside the city during that time, since his work is there.
he really went home that night to keep me company.

i slept at my mother's house a week after, but only went there after i've been to our house & check out our place after work.
this week though, i'll have to force myself to stay for the night, to save money.
nevermind if my hubby gets home only on weekends.
it's more expensive going to & fro my parents place to sleep there & go back to our house to check things.
I'll just have to be more cautious & alert during the night.
prevention is indeed better than cure.

we have a new puppy. we named her muffin.
but i can't expect her to be that helpful with burglars yet.
she's only a month & 2 weeks old. really cute.
got her just last saturday.
at least i won't be bored though, even if i only have a puppy for company.
sigh...tsk...tsk

O Lord with me abide...

O Lord with me abide
when other helper's fail
& comforts flee
Help of the helpless
o abide with me
In life , in death, O Lord, abide with me

dragons & life...

Scott Peck once said that the dragon is a mythical creaturethat can be found in many cultures, east & west.It is universal because it symbolizes man- a being capableof extreme evil & extreme good.A snake with wings. Most of us are resigned to slithering through life,weighed down by present exigencies haunted by the past & the future forgetting that we can fly

a new page begins...

just transferred to a new house last sunday dec 04.
another page of my life begins.a new house & a New place.it is also very timely, since new year is coming & this month we'll have our very first wedding anniversary.
i couldn't ask for more...
i am so excited, even though i have problems sleeping this past few days!
i asked my younger sister to stay with me for a while since my hubby is working out of town on weekdays.i don't mind with the set-up. that's what people like us have to contend with just to have money to survive.
i have so much things to do, that it takes me so long to decide what to do first.that's probably normal, just as long as i don't feel idle & opt to sleep instead hehehe

Rudyard Kipling really knows what it feels like

If you can keep your head when all about you
Are losing theirs and blaming it on you;
If you can trust yourself when all men doubt you,
But make allowance for their doubting too;
If you can wait and not be tired by waiting,
Or, being lied about, don't deal in lies,
Or, being hated, don't give way to hating,
And yet don't look too good, nor talk too wise;
If you can dream - and not make dreams your master;
If you can think - and not make thoughts your aim;
If you can meet with triumph and disaste
And treat those two imposters just the same;
If you can bear to hear the truth you've spoken
Twisted by knaves to make a trap for fools,
Or watch the things you gave your life to broken,
And stoop and build 'em up with wornout tools;
If you can make one heap of all your winnings
And risk it on one turn of pitch-and-toss,
And lose, and start again at your beginnings
And never breath a word about your loss;
If you can force your heart and nerve and sinew
To serve your turn long after they are gone,
And so hold on when there is nothing in you
Except the Will which says to them: "Hold on";
If you can talk with crowds and keep your virtue,
Or walk with kings - nor lose the common touch;
If neither foes nor loving friends can hurt you;
If all men count with you, but none too much;
If you can fill the unforgiving minute
With sixty seconds' worth of distance run
- Yours is the Earth and everything that's in it,
And - which is more - you'll be a Man my son!
